August 17 & 18, 2024 – Summer Art Show
Summer and ‘art in the Kawarthas’ have become a synonym for those who have discovered the wealth of art galleries, exhibits and artists’ retreats that abound in this area. From the world-famous Buckhorn Art Festival to Sir Sandford Fleming College’s School of Fine Arts in Haliburton, this is the place to be in the summer if art is your thing. Especially if Native, nature, or wildlife art is your thing! Start your tour right here at Whetung Ojibwa Centre!
Sept 21 & 22, 2024 Curve Lake First Nation Pow Wow
Song and dance of course food plus sights and sounds! Just a bit down the road from Whetung's, the Curve Lake Pow Wow is an annual event that draws visitors from across North America. Don’t miss this one!

Rain or Shine our community's Pow Wow will still continue, please dress accordingly.
Most Pow Wow vendors are cash only.
No Dogs allowed.

Oct 12 & 13, 2024– Thanksgiving Art Show
1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Meet our artists and see them in action at this interesting event suitable for the whole family. Get out of the house this long weekend and enjoy the beautiful fall colours on your way to Whetung Ojibwa Centre.
Dec 23, 2024 – Christmas Shutdown begins
We will be closed from December 23, 2024 - January 31, 2025
(Store will be open until 5pm December 22, 2024)
